Supporting Hounds for Heroes


I am a Animal Care student at Elmwood College in Fife and I am taking organising a number of events to raise funds and awareness for Hounds for Heroes. A newly launched charity which will be training assistance dogs for injured and disabled service men and women in the UK armed forces and the civilian emergency services.

I will be holding a stall in the college reception on the 18th & 19th March 2010 to raise funds and awareness, the stall will have information on the charity and we will be holding a bake & book sale and holding a raffle. Many of my classmate from the HNC Animal Care class has kindly offer to help with the stall and provide home baking and books.

Then on the 3rd April 2010 I will be taking part in a CaniX race (cross country with dogs) to raise sponsorship also anyone wishing to join me can enter the event upto the 29th March 2010 which is the closing date, alternatively there is a fun have a go o the day class which can be entered on the day.
